2021-2022 Concert Season

March 26, 2022 Update: Spring concert details added below

June 30, 2021 Update:
The University of Mount Union has confirmed that it expects to lift pandemic restrictions in the fall. Accordingly, the orchestra may resume rehearsing and performing on campus. We are now planning our fall repertoire, to complement the Chopin piano concerto.

Prelude to a Masterpiece

For calendar year 2021, we are presenting a special musical and educational series on video:
Prelude to a Masterpiece: Chopin’s Piano Concerto in E Minor. The videos chronicle the different aspects and stages as Mount Union piano faculty member Maria Liliestedt prepares to perform the Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor. The videos also share the experiences, thoughts, and feelings of persons who have dedicated a major part of their lives to making music.

Video:
Part 1 was released on February 6. We invite you join us at your convenience. Check back about once a month for new posts, and stay tuned for announcements about performance dates.
