This spring the ASO is delighted to present the winner and the runner up of Mount Union’s 2018 solo competition:

Samuel Adkinson, pianist and 2018 Solo con tutti competition winner, will perform the Molto allegro con fuoco movement from Mendelssohn, Piano Concerto No. 1 in G Minor.

Kaitlyn Sleazak, mezza soprano abd 2018 Solo con tutti competition runner-up, will sing two arias from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice: “Ahime, dove trascorsi?” and “Cha faro senza.”

The concert will conclude with Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E minor. This was the great composer’s final large orchestral composition, a piece rich with emotion and intensity.
